Last week, we both visited the Isle of Wight for an extended
weekend with Jess’ family; this is a common occurrence for us as it is a
holiday destination Jess’ family LOVE! We always visit a certain place that is
special as it is a place Jess’ dad used to visit as a child. It is called ‘Smugglers
Haven’ and it is an amazing cafĂ© with the best ploughmans lunch around, it also
has stunning views and some adventurous (and slightly dangerous) walking routes
which we would recommend greatly.
Sorry this picture is not amazing but the walkway is called
Devils Chimney. This is a place with strong memories for Jess, as her dad used
to tell her the name of it as a kid and she was so scared she refused to walk
down it. Little did she know it is just stairs inside a large rock!
It was at this point that we reached a road and realised we
may be a bit lost, but luckily Jess’ dad is brilliant with directions and
managed to get us back to the cafe where Jess’ mum was waiting for us.
We then sat in a patch of grass that was covered in daisy's and Hannah made herself a flower crown.
Thank you for reading,
-J&H
